Hello world!

Hello there! Thanks for stumbling upon my page! I am a Certified Bilingual School Psychologist (Spanish and English) located in New York. I am currently entering my second year as a School Psychologist. I know how helpful the online School Psychology community has been and that is what inspired me to create my own page and my own blog. Hopefully I can help you find some fun and inspiration and I can share my experience as a beginning School Psychologist.

I am currently working in an Elementary School building with a little over 200 students. (How did I get so lucky finding a small school near the city?) In my building, I work mainly with ICT students and 6:1+2 classrooms. In addition, I do bilingual testing throughout the district and have met many students in all classroom size settings. As you may know or will quickly learn, I don't have a set schedule in my day. I work a lot on testing students, social skills lessons, counseling, creating and implementing FBAs/BIPs, crisis interventions, volunteering at school functions and just trying to understand the systems in a school. I love every minute of my unpredictable job!

One thing you should know is that I am NOT a writer and a blog was FAR from what I was planning on doing. Starting my first year as a School Psychologist, in the middle of a pandemic, has inspired me to be a tech savy individual. This blog idea was a very random impulsive decision that I just went with, so here goes nothing...
