About Me

Ms. Ruby impressed me with the way she managed to engage and direct our student who struggles with attention, focus, and communication. Ms. Ruby was able to adjust to our students’ level and interest range, whilst continuing to maintain a professional attitude, guiding conversations back to the assessment without alienating the student. She showed immense patience and understanding for the student and gained deep understanding of the students’ situation and needs.
— Learning Support Teacher

Hello there! Thanks for stumbling upon my page! My name is Ms. Ruby. I am an international School Psychologist who is entering my 6th year as a school psychologist. I know how helpful the online School Psychology community has been and that is what inspired me to create my own page and my own blog. Hopefully I can help you find some fun and inspiration and I can share my experience as a School Psychologist.

I earned my Bilingual School Psychologist credentials in New York State. My first job was as a Bilingual School Psychologist on Long Island, where I was in an elementary school building. I gained extensive experience working with students in inclusion and self-contained classrooms. I traveled throughout the district to provide support as needed. My support included counseling, social skills groups, psycho-educational/social-emotional evaluations, behavior interventions, and special education services. I also facilitated numerous 504, IEP, and Student Support Team meetings. I gained experience working with students diagnosed with various conditions, such as anxiety, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, Down Syndrome, speech and language impairments, and more. I have worked with students ranging in age from 4 to 21.

Currently, I am working as an International School Psychologist. While I am based in Germany, I travel to international schools to complete Psycho-Educational Assessments for students in need.

Through my experience and background, I am deeply passionate about accessing students who come from culturally, linguistically, and neurodiverse backgrounds.
